Singapore Policemen

Today I saw two policemen catch a thief on the road . In the beginning the thief ran on the road and the two policemen ran after him.Then, to avoid the cars ,he turned right and jumped  onto the greenblet .That made him slow so the policemen speeded up and caught him.That's really exciting.The two policemen looked just like the propaganda posters in the shopping centers .The posters show a policeman who has a strict face and raises his right hand.He looks like saying "stop" to the thieves.Those posters are very attractive everywhere and they can show the Singapore policemen's power to make people feel safe.It's a very successful propaganda posters.

The City Street Cleaners with Leaf Blowers

 

I can often see the city street cleaners cleaning the leaves on the road. They always wear the toolings and take leaf blowers.Their job is blowing the leaves away from the sidewalks.Most of them look like Indonesian and they wear bibs so I can only see their eyes from their faces.Their work make them tired and they still get little paid.But I think their toolings looks really cool.Their toolings make me remind of the bounty hunters from some Sci-fi Movies.The portable leaving blowers looks like some cool alien weapons.The backpack blowers look like the energy backpacks and the tubes look like the barrels.So I took these pictures and drow a painting about him.

Tim Brown:Tales of creativity and play

Today I watched the video of Tim Brown's Ted speech named Tim Brown:Tales of creativity and play.In the speech,Tim Brown use many on site activities and many pictures to show the differences between kids' and grown ups' creative. Grown ups has many socially restrictions to limit their wide ideas,but kids don't.So they can create more possibility.He is right.There are also many artistslearning from children to improve their creative thinking.Its a good way to become more creative.But its not easy to be like kids.In the speech ,Tim also says"You need trust to play,and we need trust to be creative."That's the why many famous creative companies make their work places comfortable with people.That's very helpful with the employees' ideas.The other interesting opinion that Tim says is if we want to make a successful design,we should get the users feelings.And how to get these feelings is to do role play.Role play can let us act it out and its is also easier to kids.As Tim's thinking,play has very close relationship with creative.And kids can play most freely.So if we want to be more creative, we can learn much from kids.
